Largo grew fastest through the 1960s and 1970s, and most of the single family housing reflects that. Concrete block on slab, one storey, copper supply running under the floor, cast iron or early PVC on the drain side. That construction has aged reasonably well, but it is now old enough that the supply side is the part that gets our attention.
The pattern we see is consistent. A homeowner gets one pinhole leak in a copper line under the slab, pays to have it repaired, and then gets another one eighteen months later somewhere else. That is not bad luck. Copper that starts failing from the inside is failing everywhere at once, and the second leak is the one that should start the conversation about rerouting or repiping rather than patching.
Largo also has a large amount of manufactured and mobile home housing, plus a number of 55 plus communities. Those have their own plumbing realities: supply lines that run exposed underneath, skirted crawl spaces, shared laterals in some parks, and freeze exposure on the rare cold snap that catches a line that has no insulation. It is different work from a slab house and it needs someone who has done it before.
Slab leaks and reroutes. The most common serious job in the city. We locate it precisely, then lay out spot repair, attic reroute and full repipe with real numbers against each.
Water heater replacement. Largo has a lot of garage installed tanks that are past their working life, sitting in pans with drain lines that were never connected properly. When one of those lets go it takes the garage with it.
Drain cleaning in the older streets where the laterals are original and the yards have mature trees over them.
Manufactured home plumbing. Underbelly supply lines, failed shutoffs, water heater swaps in tight closets, and fixture work in park models.
Fixture and valve work in the 55 plus communities, where the request is often accessibility related as much as it is a repair: higher toilets, easier handles, valves that do not need a strong grip.
